First ever Pakistan web awards held at a local hotel by "The Xeptionalz". Sindh IT Minister Mohammad Raza Haroon was the chief guest. The initiative was supported by IT Department, Government of Sindh, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) & City District Government Karachi (CDGK).
The new revamped look of Sindh Government Web Portal and Sindh IT Department's website were also demonstrated. Raza Haroon briefed about these websites and appreciated the work. Diamond Award (1st Position) for the best website in Pakistan goes to www.satmaptrg.com nominated under category "IT/ITeS". Platinum Award (2nd Position) goes to www.tribune.com.pk in the category "Press & Media".
For Gold Award (3rd Position) tie-up occurred and 2 websites www.ufone.com & www.jazzjazba.com won Gold Award. Both the websites were nominated under category "Cellular/ Telecom Companies". Special Award was announced for www.pakistan.pk, the National Rabta Informational Portal of Pakistan developed by Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA).-PR
