At the end in an impressive ceremony held at a local hotel on March 4, 2011 a Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Mian Tariq Mahmud, Chairman 'The TAQ Organisation' (TTO) by Jan Hoffmann, Chief Trade Facilitation Section UNCTAD and Markus Schoni Manager ABVT FIATA.

He said that there was practically hardly any freight forwarding company in Pakistan or anyone related to the profession who had not benefited from the TAQ Organisation one way or the other. He added that Mian Tariq had the credit of setting up an in-house training academy in his organisation from where other freight forwarding companies also received training for their staff. The course material consisted of 14 modules designed by UNCTAD to establish minimum standards of freight forwarding business in Pakistan on Global Standards.-PR
