Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that Punjab government is actively considering to establish university campus for ensuring quality higher education facility to the students at local level and work on this proposed project would be undertaken during next year in Sialkot.
Speaking as a chief guest at prize distribution ceremony of Government Murray College here on Saturday he emphasised that imparting education to female has become vital for getting social rid of economic and problems as well as to enter in practical life with honour. Khawaja Asif stressed upon the students that they should concentrate on their studies for bright future as well as to share the future responsibilities of the country.
Imparting education and charter building of students was the responsibility of teachers and teachers should play their front foot role in fulfilling the responsibilities, he said. He said that independent judiciary came into existence due to joint struggle of lawyer, members of the civil society and general public in the country but it is very unfortunate that there was no visible change in the politics.
Khawja Asif was of the opinion that the people were in the strong clutches of frustration and disappointment because rulers failed to come up to the expectations of the masses. The political customs had totally been changed and unfortunately, the political leadership and government was not realising the gravity of the changing situation he said.
Khawaja Asif further stated Punjab government was making strenuous efforts for the promotion and expansion of education evenly in the Province for attaining yielding results. Khawja Mansha Ullah Butt, special advisor to Chief Minister and Chaudhry Akhlaq and large number of educationist attended the ceremony. Earlier, he also inaugurated two blocks of the college accomplished at a cost of Rs 6 crore. Later, Khawja Asif distributed the prizes among the students.
