The Italian Trade Commission is organising two Italian Textile Technological seminars in Pakistan, one in Karachi and one in Lahore. The seminar in Karachi will be held at a local hotel on Monday (tomorrow). It is being organised by Italian Trade Commission, Trade and Promotion section of Italian Embassy in collaboration with the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT).
The seminar specially features Italian companies manufacturing textile machinery that can help enhance quality and value addition in textile products, which is at present the main issue that textile companies are facing in Pakistan in their effort to overcome competition from other Asian countries.
Eight leading Italian manufacturers of textile machinery will present their latest technology developments to the Pakistani textile companies: Comez, Gestioni, Corino Macchine, Jaeggli Meccaanotessile, Loris Bellini, Mario Crosta, Reggiani Macchine, ROJ and Simet.
These technological seminars fall into the many initiatives already carried out as part of the ongoing promotional activities organised by ACIMIT and Italian Trade Commission over the years in Pakistan. The promotional activities include training courses organised in Italy for Pakistani textile operators and technological seminars occurring in the country.
The Italian Trade Commission, Trade and Promotion section of Italian Embassy and A. R. Daudpota, Deputy Trade Commissioner said, ACIMIT give maximum importance to this event, aiming at strengthening the already excellent relationship between Italy and Pakistan in textile sector.
