Faud Hamid Garib has been elected as Chairman and Abdul Kalim Bakza and Safder Mehkri as Vice-Chairmen of Wheat Traders Association of Pakistan (WTAP). Following were elected as members of the managing committee: Johar Ali Qandhari, Mehmood Moulvi, Haseeb Dada, Mahesh Kumar Talreja, Ali Raza Nurani, Abdul Rafiq, Javed Tar Muhammed, and Javed Thara.
After the election, Faud Garib assured his fullest support and co-operation to the WTAP members and expressed the hope that it would soon become a vibrant association of Pakistan. He said that the main objective of the association is to serve all stakeholders in the country and to sit with the government to formulate strategies relating to issues of wheat being faced by the country. Considering that the harvest of wheat for the upcoming season is not very far, it is time that the government should take on board members of WTAP and prepare a modus operandi for the distribution of wheat in every corner of the country.
