Capital Development Authority (CDA) in its ant-encroachments drive has demolished eleven structures in F-6 and one illegal house in Malpur village, besides destroying illegally constructed road in Chatta Bakhtawar, the Capital city. The Enforcement Directorate of the Civic Body kicked off its operation against the encroachers in Tramri Chowk, Jhangi Syedan, Sector F-6, Malpur Village, Chatta Bakhtawar and adjacent areas, said Ramzan Sajid, spokesman of the CDA here on Monday.
He said that on special instructions of Chairman CDA, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, the Directorate of Enforcement has conducted operation against illegal encroachments and illegal structures erected in different areas.
During the move, the Directorate of Enforcement demolished 11 structures in Sector F-6, an illegal constructed house in Malpur village as well as illegally constructed road in Chatta Bakhtawar and removed it, he said. The Chairman CDA, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi has taken serious notice of illegal encroachments and build-up structures, directing the Enforcement Directorate to take immediate action against the encroachers without any discrimination.
Chairman CDA said that illegal encroachments are serious threat to the beauty of the Capital and causes hassle to the public in the markets and public areas. Elahi has also directed the concerned formation of the Authority to keep a vigilant eye on encroachments so that they could keep at bay in future as well, seeking people to cooperate in making the move a success. He urged the occupants of the illegal structures to demolish it otherwise, CDA would demolish the illegal structures.
