Clarification

This is with reference to the story titled "NPMC yet to hold review meeting" carried by Business Recorder on March 5, 2011, the spokesman, Ministry of Finance, says the first meeting of the committee was held under the Chairmanship Secretary Finance on 24th January, 2011 with Chief Secretaries of the Provinces and concerned Federal Ministries/Division to devise a framework to reinvigorate price monitoring mechanism.
As a follow up of the first meeting, second meeting was held on 21-02-2011 with Provinces and Federal Ministries, while the third meeting is scheduled to be held on third week of this month. Besides it has been decided that the third week of every month the NPMC will meet to review the prices and supply situation of key food items.
