The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has constituted a six member permanent committee to constantly review the newly launched leveraged products. The committee headed by Badiuddin Akbar, Head of Operations, National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) will review the new leveraged products and would send their recommendations and suggestion to the SECP.
The other members of the committee are Shafqat Ali from Karachi Stock Exchange, Ahmed Noman from Islamabad Stock Exchange, Mujahid Nadeem from Lahore Stock Exchange and Asif Iqbal from SECP. The SECP has officially announced the formation of this permanent committee in a letter issued on Saturday. The Chairman SECP, Muhammad Ali also announced the formation of this committee during his speech at the inaugural ceremony of leverage products at the KSE.
