Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza has condemned the murder of Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs, Shahbaz Bhatti, who was shot dead in Islamabad on Wednesday morning. In a statement here, he expressed deep sorrow and grief at the firing incident. Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has also taken serious notice of Tuesday night's blast in Karachi's Shah Latif Town area.
He has sought a report from the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Karachi, regarding the incident. Sindh Home Minister has directed the security steps be beefed up and effective measures be adopted for the security of the government, semi-government building, offices, installations as well as places of workshop. He also called for enhancing patrolling, snap-checking and picketing in the metropolis.
