At least three persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents in various parts of the metropolis on Tuesday. According to details, a man was gunned down by his friend in Naval Colony Baldia in the remits of Saeedabad police station.
The victim, who was identified as Tahir, 26, son of Hanif Khan, was shot dead by his friend when he was going with him on a motorcycle. Resultantly he received a single bullet on his head and died on the spot. The culprit managed to flee from the scene. Police shifted the victim's body to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities.
According to police, the victim was a contractor and a resident of sector 5-J Baldia Town. The motive behind the murder could be a financial issue, police said. In another incident, a body of a woman was found in an underground water tank of a house in the limits of Mochko police station. The body of the victim, who was identified as Shakeela, 30, wife of Tariq, was found in the water tank of her house located at Gulshan Ghazi Baldia Town on early Tuesday. Police said the victim, who was the mother of two children, drowned herself in a water tank, due to domestic issue. Her body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) where doctors pronounced her death due to suffocation.
In yet another incident, a young man committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope at Bawani Chalie Metrovil in the limits of Site A police station. Police said the victim, who was identified as Waseem, 21, son of Mohammad Ramzan, hung himself from a ceiling. The deceased, who was working in a private factory, was living with his friends in a quarter situated at Metrovil. The body was shifted to CHK and later handed over to his heirs.
