The political administration of the Frontier Region, D I Khan have completed water supply schemes in Akhondzada and Paind Khel villages for the local communities. The schemes will help approximately 3,200 residents get access to drinking water. The people of these localities had been facing acute shortages of drinking water.
On the request of the elders of these communities, Political Administration FR DIK responded by prioritising the urgent demand and issued orders for the availability of drinking water facilities to the people of these villages. According to the Directorate of Information Fata, the water supply projects were completed by installing dug wells, pumps, water tanks, distribution pipeline, and external electrification via transformers. The authorities also constructed 244 meters flood wall while in Paind Khel under the same project a 152 meters long irrigation channel and two protection spurs have also been constructed for the welfare of these communities.
The political administration has also completed the drainage project and street pavement for the flood-hit Mohalla Ahmadzai communities of Khoi Bahara Village, Drazinda Tehsil, FR DI Khan. This project will benefit approximately 1400 individuals of the area.
