Court rejects bail application of held US citizen

A local court headed by a Magistrate on Monday here rejected bail application of the detained US national, arrested on charges of overstay, by the police a few days back. Magistrate Qudratullah Khan Marwat in his short judgement pronounced that the record available with the court proved that visa of US national Aeron Mark Dehavon had expired in October 2010 and his stay in Pakistan was illegal since that time.
Moreover, it was in the knowledge of the US citizen himself that his visa had already expired. Moreover, no family member or any lawyer appeared in his behalf in the court to plead his case.
