Big city development programme: Rs 1.15 billion allocated for Faisalabad, Jhang schemes
A sum of Rs 1.150 billion have been allocated for the development schemes of the for Faisalabad and Jhang under the direction of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif. Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain directed the heads of nation building departments to initiate the construction work on the projects of 'big city development schemes' without any delay.
He said this in a meeting held to review the pace of development schemes of ADP and other development schemes. DCO Toba Tek Singh Amanuallah Khan, DCO Chiniot Dr Irshad Ahmad, Director Development Sher Bahadar and relevent officers attended the meeting. It was stated in the meeting that Rs 700 million was received for 83 schemes of Provincial Building department, out of which Rs 250 million was utilised while Rs 230 million was received for 30 schemes of provincial highways circle Faisalabad. The meeting was informed that Rs 130 million was provided for 36 schemes of public health and urban development projects. The meeting also reviewed the development schemes of WASA, FDA and other sectors.
