Punjab government: 'oust PPP' was inner voice of workers, says Nawaz

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that his party's alliance with Pakistan People's Party (PPP) would have remained intact if it had resolved the masses' problems. Addressing the consultative meeting of party workers from Peshawar, Hazara and Dera Ismail Khan here at Model Town, he said that ousting PPP from Punjab government was the inner voice of the party workers.
He said that load shedding, unemployment, price-hike and corruption had made the life of every citizen miserable in the country. "We improved the image of Pakistan during our tenure in the past. We improved defence, national economy, education and health sectors," he added.
Long march had proved that Pakistani nation was standard bearer of the constitution and justice, he said and added that the country would be rebuilt with the revolutionary spirit of the long march. Nawaz said that independent judiciary was performing its sacred obligation to purge the country of corruption. He said that PML-N by the grace of Allah Almighty could steer the country out of crises, adding that, "We will build a new Pakistan by mobilising the nation." "We are making a revolutionary team for revolutionary programme in the country," he added.
He pledged that educational revolution would be brought in the country to provide science and technology education to the youth as well as provide them maximum facilities in realm of research. Recalling his achievements during the last tenure, Nawaz said, "We had created an atmosphere of investment through economic reforms, adding that there was no load shedding in the country and we were in position to export electricity. "Pakistan would have been become a super power in south Asia, if conspiracies against PML-N government had not been hatched," he added. It was the outcome of our rational policies that the then Indian Prime Minister came to Lahore for reconciliation, he added.
