In the prevailing situation, the prime responsibility of the government is to provide protection to the foreign and domestic investors. This was stated by the Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, here on Thursday. He was talking to a delegation of traders and investors at the Governor House.
The delegation was led by Siraj Kasim Teli. Sindh Home Minister, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, Provincial Industry Minister, Rauf Siddiqui, IGP Police and CCPO Karachi were also present on the occasion. The Governor said that fostering sense of protection among the investors was essential for the investors in the country.
He said that the government's stance in this respect is of zero tolerance and that this is the unanimous approach of all the parliamentary groups. Dr Ishrat asked Dr Zulfiqar Mirza to maintain a closer liaison with the traders and investors. He also assured the members of the delegation that their concerns regarding safety would be addressed.
The Governor also asked the Home Minister to ensure that dedicated and committed police force is deployed in the industrial area. On the directive of Dr Ishrat, the Sindh Home Minister announced a sum of Rs one million for activating the community policing in the SITE area.
