BRIndex30 sheds 100.11 points

On Monday, the BRIndex30 opened at 8,733.84 points and remained in red for most of the trading session, except for the first few minutes. The Index entered a general falling trend in the last two hours. It touched the intra-day high of 8,753.89 points and low of 8,621.06 points, and closed at 8,633.73 points with a net negative change of -100.11 points, or -1.15 percent lower than previous close.
The volume was 34,451,533 shares, which was 67.78 percent of KSE All share volume and 93.21 percent of KSE-100 volume. The KSE All Share volume was 50,827,113 shares and KSE-100 volume was 36,961,658 shares. BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 472.28 with a net positive change of 3.77 points or percentage change of 0.8 and turnover of 8,368,489 shares.
BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,434.03 with a net negative change of -40.86 points or percentage change of -1.65 and turnover of 8,249,973 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,704.99 with a net positive change of 6.64 points or percentage change of 0.39 and turnover of 3,257,663 shares.
BR Cement Index closed at 616.47 with a net negative change of -8.22 points or percentage change of -1.32 and turnover of 2,626,316 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,646.76 with a net negative change of -28.32 points or percentage change of -1.06 and turnover of 1,584,901 shares.
