Karachi Press Club (KPC) and Faiz Centenary Organising Committee (FCOC) are jointly organising a seminar on Faiz Ahmed Faiz's intellectual work, his personality and political endeavours on Saturday (today). According to a press release issued here, well-known intellectual Manzoor Ahmed and President KPC, Tahir Hassan Khan will chair the event that will take place at KPC at 4pm.
Those who will address the seminar include Faiz's prison-mate, Zafarullah Poshni, Taj Haider, Abid Hassan Manto, Yosuf Jamal, Latif Afridi, Mir Hasil Bazenjo, Fehmida Riaz, Peerzada Qasim, Seher Ansari, Noor Muhammad and Khalid Ahmed. Moreover, famous singer Salman Alvi and NAPA students will read Faiz's poetry to pay tribute to him for his remarkable work.-PR
