Clash between two groups: SU vice chancellor grieved over death of student

The Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh, Professor Dr Nazir A. Mughal, administration and faculty members have expressed deep concern on the death a student of BCS Part-II Babar Sanhilo in a clash between two groups of students at a canteen on Thursday.
The vice chancellor also expressed sorrow with the father of late Sandhilo on telephone and assured him that strict action will be taken against the responsible. He informed that police has arrested two students and necessary legal action has been taken in this regard.
Sindh University, in a statement issued on Thursday, said that at about 11.30am, a clash between two students groups, namely PPSB wing and Jiay Sindh Student Federation (JSMM) took place wherein they exchanged fire on some political grievances. As a result, Babar Sandhilo student of BS Part-II of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMCS) received bullets and was seriously injured. He was immediately taken to LUMHS Jamshoro where he succumbed to injuries.
SU's acting Dean Professor Nizamuddin Halepot and other officials immediately reached the hospital. The varsity also provided ambulance for shifting the dead body to the student's native village.
The VC also convened a high level meeting to examine the law and order situation at the campus, which was also attended by District Police Officer, Jamshoro. The meeting decided that academic activities will continue at the campus. The varsity also took several security measures for maintenance of law and order at the campus as well as hostels. Meanwhile, SU controller of examinations has announced that college-side annual examinations will continue as per the notified schedule.
