Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said on Sunday that right sizing in provincial cabinet would take place after consultation with allied parties. The Chief Minister termed right sizing of federal government in the light of 18th amendment is welcome move that would further strengthen democratic institutions.
Talking to journalists after inaugurating new building of Mardan Press Club in Mardan district, the Chief Minister said murder of innocent Pakistanis in Lahore by a US national is very deplorable incident. He urged the foreigners to respect Pakistan laws. The activities of foreigners had already been restricted in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw keeping in view of the prevailing situation.
Hoti said, "world held Khyber Pakhtunkhaw government and people efforts and sacrifices in war against terror in high esteem." The Chief Minister said ANP has fulfilled most of the promises made to the public and now attention is being given to the socio-economic development and rehabilitation of flood victims.
The new press club building would provide a better platform to journalists to perform their duties in efficient manner, he added. The building has been constructed with an estimated cost of Rs.20million with all necessary facilities.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of the office and residence of Commissioner Mardan that would be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs.44.41 million. He also laid foundation stone of Central Eid Gah in Mardan that would cost Rs.13.8 million.
To provide better health opportunities to people, the Chief Minister inaugurated newly constructed Gyne ward, operation theater and administration block in district headquarters Hospital Mardan. He said approval of reconstruction of district headquarter hospital Mardan has been given and would soon be inaugurated. Work on Phase-III on Mardan Medical Complex are underway where all modern facilities would be provided. MPA Ahmed Khan Bahadar, DIG Abdullah Khan, Commissioner Mardan Muhammad Akbar Khan and other senior officers were present.
