"We should promote love, affection and fraternity among ourselves, because it would result into a welfare society that conforms to the teachings of Islam," Masood Khan said.

Felicitating the Muslim Ummah and particularly the nation, the President said the birthday of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the time to signify real fondness with him.

"We are believers in the last Prophet (PBUH) to whom Allah Almighty bestowed the title of Rehmatullil-Alamin which means that his personality is a source of blessings for the entire universe", he said, adding Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave the lesson of love and brotherhood and clearly taught humanity about the sanctity of human life.

"The affection with Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) involves one's obligation to follow the message of Islam and conform to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). One should work not only for the propagation of universal love and brotherhood, but also to struggle for the achievement of these great objectives.

President prayed to Allah Almighty for keeping the shadow of His blessings over Pakistan, and give it prosperity and guide the nation to follow the teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

"To maintain such balance and unity among the ranks is the only solution to fight against all kinds of extremist approaches", he added.
