KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday sought comments from Sindh’s Director General of Rangers and Inspector General of Police, home secretary and others on petitions seeking whereabouts of missing persons.
Headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto, the SHC bench was hearing three identical petitions filed for the recovery of missing men, Anwarul Haq, Mairajuddin and Faizan Khan who were allegedly picked up from different parts of the city on separate occasions.
Mst Zobia, the wife of missing Anwarul Haq, submitted that her spouse he was picked up by the Rangers personnel from their home located in Federal B Area on August 15 this. She said that the whereabouts of her husband has not been disclosed since then.
Separately, Faizan Khan’s father informed the judges that his son was whisked away by 20 to 25 persons wearing civil dresses from Liaquatabad area of the city on 25th October 2017.
