Truck-van collision near Khairpur leaves 20 dead

Twenty people were killed while several have sustained injuries after a truck lost control and collided with a van near Shah Hussain Bypass in Khairpur on Monday morning.
According to media reports, the incident took place when a truck loaded with coal crashed into a passenger van coming from opposite direction. As a result, 20 people have died and around six are injured.
Many of the injured are in critical condition and the death toll is feared to rise. The passenger van was travelling to Sukkur from Khairpur when it met the deadly accident.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals in Khairpur. The road has been blocked, after which traffic flow got affected.
Earlier, eight people and 19 others were injured on October 10 near Larkana when a bus driver lost control and the vehicle overturned and fell into a ditch while trying to save a motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction. The bus was carrying members of the Brohi community, who were returning to Larkana from Sehwan.
