AJK Prime Minister condemns shelling across LOC

MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan has condemned the killing of an elderly woman by Indian firing on Line of control (LoC) at Chirikot sector two days earlier.
In a statement issued here Friday by his office, he urged upon the international community to take a cognizance of unprovoked Indian Shelling across LoC in Azad Kashmir killing innocent civilians. "International community must ask India that women and children killed in across LOC firing whether involved in terrorism against it? or rather the act is itself a terror against the people of AJK," Haider emphasized adding a half million people in AJK were under Indian target.
He said the blood of the women and children will not go in waste and the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not give up their struggle for right to self determination under suppression bowing before it as all the tactics for the last 70 years were failed.
He said the Indian had started a limited war against people of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan on LOC which posses serious dangers to the peace and security of the region which must be taken in account by the world community.
Meanwhile, a member of European Parliament Sajjad Karim called him at his office and discussed the last situation of Indian occupied Kashmir particularity LOC firing incidents and assured him to raise the issue in EU parliament.
Haider apprised the services of Mr. Sajjad Karim for raising issue of Jammu and Kashmir at EU parliament and other forums and said he was the real ambassador of the people of Kashmir.
He acknowledged his effort to organize a Kashmir week in his parliament.
