Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam achieve another record for Pakistan

The batting duo of Ahmed Shehzad and Babar Azam have emerged as one of the most successful Twenty20 international pair having the best average for Pakistan with 78.80.

According to stats provided by ESPNcricinfo, the pair has batted five times together in 2017 and has managed to score two-century partnerships and two fifty run partnerships in the process.

The latest stand of 102 runs came against the World XI, in the recently concluded Independence Cup, which Pakistan won 2-1.

Overall, Ahmed and Babar have scored 394 runs together, sitting ninth on the list of most runs by any Pakistani pair in T20I. Meanwhile, the veteran pair of Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal stands at the top with 797 runs.

Furthermore, no other batting duo from Pakistan holds the record of scoring century partnership twice, in T20 Internationals.
