FRANKFURT: German stocks were up by more than 3.0 percent in mid-morning trading on Monday amid renewed optimism with regard to a possible solution to the eurozone debt crisis.
The DAX 30 index rose by 3.2 percent to an intraday high of 5,668.37 points, but subsequently eased again slightly to show an increase of 2.9 percent at 5,651.17 points.
