Chaudhry Nisar's elder brother passes away

Former Secretary Defence Lieutenant General (Retd) Chaudhry Iftikhar Ali Khan passed away here on Saturday after protracted illness. The deceased, the elder brother of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, was suffering from stomach problem.
His burial will take place in his village Chakri, Rawalpindi at 11 am on Sunday. Lieutenant General Iftikhar Ali Khan served as Chief of the General Staff (CGS), Pakistan Army. He was appointed as Defence Secretary in 1997 and relinquished the office in 1999. Lieutenant General Iftikhar Ali Khan was also conferred the military distinctions including Hilal-e-Imtiaz (M) and Sitara-e-Basalat.
