769th urs of Baba Farid begins

ISLAMABAD: Fifteen days Urs celebrations at the shrine of Sufi saint Hazrat Baba Fareed Uddin Masood Ganj Shakar (RA) have been started from Tuesday and will continue till December 7 in Pakpattan.

Security has been tightened around the shrine for 769th annual Urs celebrations to avoid any untoward incident, private news channel reported.

Walk-through gates have been installed at entrance and exit points following the last year bombing incident.Close circuit cameras have been also installed for surveillance.

The special gate termed as `Beheshti Darwaza' (paradise door) will be opened on December 2 for general public.
