Aitzaz denies joining of PTI

LAHORE: The PPP stalwart Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has denied joining of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI).

He was talking to media at the Ejaz Art Gallery on Thursday. Aitzaz said Imran Khan should also be given an opportunity, as the public wants a change in the system. However, he added that Imran Khan should also hold a public meeting without musicians.

He further commented that Shah Mehmood Qureshi has committed a mistake by quitting the PPP. It may be noted that Imran Khan has emerged as a very effective alternative to both the PPP and the PML-N. Especially, his public meeting at the Minar-e-Pakistan has attracted a large crowd, primarily consisting of youngsters.

Imran Khan had announced that Shah Mehmood Qureshi was joining the PTI on November 27 at a public meeting in Ghotki. However, Qureshi has avoided to confirm his joining the PTI and advised the media to wait until November 27. Imran has also pointed out that major political parties were threatening their members on joining the PTI.
