SINGAPORE: Asia-Pacific trade remained thin on Thursday as the market continued to await offers for August-loading cargoes.

Australian loading programmes for August supplies are still being finalised, traders said.

Details of the Pertamina condensate import tender have yet to emerge. Offers were held valid until June 8.

BRENT-DUBAI EFS

Brent's premium to Dubai swaps was at $0.67 a barrel, down 10 cents for August.

REFINERY

Indian Oil Corp has lined up an extensive maintenance turnaround plan for its refineries in 2017, sources with knowledge of the plan said. This could force the country's top refiner to tap overseas markets for gasoline and diesel to meet rising local demand.

Japanese oil refiner Idemitsu Kosan Co said it restarted the fire-hit 60,000 barrels per day (bpd) No.3 light gas oil hydrodesulphurisation unit at its Chiba refinery in eastern Japan on Wednesday.

MARKET NEWS

China's crude oil imports rebounded to the second-highest level on record in May, making China the world's top buyer for the month amid concerns over tightening crude supply to Asia and an extension of producer cuts to next March.

A dispute between two Australian energy companies escalated on Thursday, potentially delaying a promising Senegal oil project that was due to start producing as early as 2021.

China's Sinopec has not received a government order to relocate the Yanshan oil refinery, contradicting an earlier news report that the plant would be moved to develop the Xiongan New Area, the company said on Thursday.

Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Authority has re-imposed a ban on oil tankers linked to Qatar from calling at ports in the United Arab Emirates. The reversal of an earlier decision to ease restrictions could create a logjam of crude cargoes.

Iraq has raised the July official selling price (OSP) for Basra Light crude to Asia by $0.60 to minus $0.55 a barrel against the average of Oman/Dubai quotes from the previous month, the State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) said on Thursday.
