MADRID : Spanish share prices plunged 3.07 percent on Wednesday as Italian state borrowing costs soared to record high
MADRID: Spanish share prices plunged 3.07 percent on Wednesday as Italian state borrowing costs soared to record high levels in a spiralling eurozone crisis.
The leading IBEX-35 index fell 261.9 points to 8,256.6 early afternoon. Among the hardest hit, builder Sacyr Vallehermoso plummeted 6.42 percent to 4.721 euros and banker BBVA dropped 4.13 percent to 5.829 euros.
