TIMERGARA: Executive District Officer (EDO), Health department Dr. Shaukat Khan on Thursday said no case of dengue virus has been reported from the district owing to government's effective steps to combat it on urgent basis.
Dr. Shaukat told media that as precautionary measures, anti dengue spray have been carried in the district to avoid the possible spread of epidemic that had affected hundreds of lives in Punjab.
The district administration has prohibited import of old tyres as it were considered the main nurseries of mosquito.
He further told that on the demands of people, crackdown against quack doctors and Hakeems have been started and warned that those found involved to play with lives of innocent people would be put behind the bars.
