The Karachi Port handled 148,045 tonnes cargo including 114,497 tonnes import, 33,548 tonnes export cargo and 5,213 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 106,645 tonnes dry cargo including 66,040 tonnes general cargo; 11,474 tonnes fertiliser; 22,500 tonnes coal; 6,631 tonnes cement; and 41,600 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Ninos, Wan Hai-311, Harmony, Kuo Chong, Jon Jin 2 and Hanjin Istanbul sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eight vessels viz Mol Admiration, Kuo Chong, Harmony, Corinthiakos, Apl Brisbane, Iran Baabaei, M.T. Swat and North Pole are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Apl Brisbane, Bl Saida, Valbella, North Pole and Iran Baabaei expected to sail on Wednesday, while two vessels viz Soon Fu and M.T. Swat expected to sail on Thursday.
Six vessels viz Andino Park, Y M Sun, Hyundai Stride, Silver Sen and Red Sea Spirit due to arrive on Wednesday, while four ships namely Rose, Conti Harmony, Bohinj and Alexa M are due to arrive on Thursday.
Three ships namely C.V. Maersk Dhaka, C.V. MSC Don Govanni and M.T. Pegasus-7 sailed out to sea during the report period. Container ship namely Nedlloyed Oceania is expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of five ships namely ACX Mimosa, Keefan, Captain George-L, Centurion and Gemini carrying containers, diesel oil, iron ore and edible oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz C.V. Nedlloyed Oceania, C.V. Maersk Dhaka, C.V. MSC Don Govanni, M.T. Pegasus-7, M.V. S D Glory and M.V. Guang Meng Feng are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil, canola seeds and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely C.V. Pacheco, C.V. ACX Mimosa, M.T. Gemini and M.T. Keefan due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Two vessels viz M.T. Samho Heron and M.T. Delight Victoria with edible oil and diesel oil are due to arrive on Wednesday, while three more ships namely C.V. Dubai, M.T. Oriental Miho and M.T. Sinar Agra with containers and chemicals are due to arrive on Thursday.
