With a view to help develop international collaboration with Asian Institute of Technology, Higher Electronic Laboratories have been established at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). According to a spokesman of LCWU, Higher Education Commission (HEC) has successfully completed the project in the stipulated period of two years.
The laboratories established for undergraduate programmes include; electronics laboratory, digital logic design laboratory, instrumentation and measurement laboratory, microwave laboratory, digital signal processing laboratory, embedded systems laboratory, electrical machines laboratory and communication laboratory.
The other facilities for the research laboratory are Universal Testing Machines, Edward's Coating Unit, I/V and C/V measurement unit and Hall Effect Measurement System. Due to availability of such state-of-the-art equipment research has taken a head start and many papers are in the pipeline for publication in journals of international repute, the spokesman added.
