National Power Control Centre (NPCC) has increased load shedding quota for Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) for the current week. According to official sources, the new allotted quota would be 90MW from 00.00 hours to 0900 hours, 120MW from 0900 hours to 1900 hours and 200MW from 1900 hours to 00.00 hours.
After increase in load shedding quota, there will be three duration of load shedding of each half an hour in a day in the current week, while in some rural areas it can be of four durations of 30 minutes. They said this duration could be further increased up to one hour instead of half an hour in case of increasing power load in some areas of the IESCO region.
The IESCO has asked its consumers to cooperate with the company and voluntarily minimise the use of electricity appliances especially air conditioners in peak hour to overcome the situation. The IESCO consumers can get load shedding schedule from their Sub Divisional Complaint offices, whose numbers are already given on their electricity bills.
Similarly, they can also contact IESCO Customer Service Centres on telephone numbers: Islamabad F-6 CSC Tel: 111-390-390, 9217579-80, Karachi Company CSC Tel: 111-272-289, Rawalpindi Chandni Chowk CSC Tel: 4580716, 4580617, 111-309-309, Marrir Hassan CSC Tel: 5794476, Taxila CSC Tel: 9314162-63, Chakwal CSC Tel: 553279 and Fateh Jang CSC Tel: 2122066.
