Pakistan Navy Ship Tariq carrying relief goods for the people of flood-hit areas of Balochistan reached Ormara, said a release of ISPR here on Tuesday. The relief goods included 38,000 litres of mineral water, 9,000 litres of fresh milk, 400 cartons of dry milk, 4.5 tons of packets of ration and 250 tents.
Another PN warship PNS Tipu Sultan is also scheduled to sail in the evening with a large quantity of relief goods for flood victims. Four helicopters of Pakistan Navy are also continuing relief operations in the affected areas. They carried out 16 sorties in the cyclone-hit areas of Gwadar, Pasni and Ormara and dropped packets containing essential food items for flood victims.
Pak Marines and Special Services Units have also been put on alert in Creek areas to meet any unexpected event. These units are equipped with special crafts, capable of operating in land, water and muddy areas. The first aid and other technical facilities to conduct search and rescue operations in case of emergency.
