Punjab Education Minister Mian Imran Masood has stressed that the achievement of 100 percent literacy rate is our collective responsibility. He stated this while addressing the gold medal awarding ceremony organised by private schools in his honour, here on Tuesday.
Imran maintained that the province has achieved substantial advancement in the field of education with the help of private sector. Appreciating the role of the minister he said that the whole credit goes to Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
Addressing the ceremony, President APPSWA Syed Zulqarnain Shah said that Punjab government has taken practical steps in providing financial assistance to private schools. On the occasion Education Minister Mian Imran Masood was awarded gold medal.
Federal Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal, President All Pakistan Private Schools Welfare Association Syed Zulqarnain Shah, Chairman BISE Professor Zakriya Butt, Secretary Haji Muhammad Dogar and heads of private schools from Okara district also attended the function.
