The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has extended the date for submitting photo copy of computerised national identity card (CNIC) by account holders. A circular, No 19, from SBP Banking Policy & Regulation Department issued on Monday to Presidents/Chief Executives of all banks/DFIs said that representations were received from banks, indicating difficulties in meeting the extended deadline of June 30, 2007 for obtaining CINC from their clients.
Therefore, it has been decided to extend the date for meeting the requirement to December 31, 2007.-PR
