'PCGA secretary unlawfully appointed'

Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) has appointed a former director agriculture Rab Nawaz Lak (65) as secretary of PCGA without any interview and surpassing the rules and regulations. A candidate told on phone that PCGA had invited applications from the suitable candidates till July 2, but they had appointed Rab Nawaz Lak on June 27 unlawfully.
It may be recalled that Muhammad Mehboob Alam, former secretary of PCGA had resigned on April 14, 2007 following the ill-attitude and misbehaviour of some member of the association who wanted to get involve him in unlawful activities, while secretary had forbidden the body from violating the Trade Organisation Ordinance (TOO).
