Citizens advised to avoid digging works in monsoon

City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has advised the citizens to avoid digging basements and grounds etc for all purposes including construction of buildings during monsoon. The city government has banned digging of basements for construction of big buildings during the monsoon season, CDGL sources said here on Sunday.
The ban has been imposed to avoid damage to the buildings near by the digging site and to protect lives and property. The ban would be strictly enforced to avoid risks attached to it they said. In case digging is required for some meagre purposes and small needs the excavated lands in such cases should be filled without any delay to ensure safety.
