Lal Masjid Khateeb Maulana Abdul Aziz warned that he would declare Jihad if the government launched operation against Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa. Addressing Friday congregation at the Masjid, he asked the people to be prepared for Jihad as well as suicide attacks.
He said that students will render their lives and will not compromise on vulgarity and un-Islamic culture. He said keeping weapons is the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He said massage centres and dancing and singing functions and shaking hands with women are un-Islamic acts. Promotion of western culture in the name of enlightened moderation will not be allowed," he announced amid slogans of jihad slogans. Maulana Abdul Aziz said his supporters would do every thing to enforce Islamic system in Pakistan.
The Lal Masjid Administrator expressed the determination that they will not budge an inch from their stand, adding demand for the Islamic system is not a sin or crime.
He lamented that corruption and other social evils are rampant in the society but the administration remains un-moved. He claimed that their demands are genuine and legal. He said criminals are free to carry arms but if any religious person has weapon, the rulers raise eyebrows.
The Lal Masjid cleric alleged that a baseless propaganda campaign had been started against Lal Masjid administration but no body was issuing statement against vulgarity and nudity, which was very sad. Prostitution dens are spread all over the country but no action has been taken to stop this evil. He appealed to the people to rise against all sorts of vices. He asked the people to be prepared for Jihad as well as suicide attack.
