President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have warmly greeted Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of his accession to Emirship, falling on June 27.
The President, in his message, said: "Pakistan and Qatar enjoy close and brotherly relations and both countries share similar views on issues of mutual interest." He expressed confidence that the co-operation and friendship will be further strengthened under the able leadership of the Emir to the mutual benefit of the two peoples.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, in his message to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, said the cordial and friendly relations existing between Pakistan and Qatar would continue to the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
On this occasion, the prime minister also extended his best wishes for the personal health and happiness of the Emir as well as continued peace and prosperity for the people of Qatar.
