Iranian FM calls on President Zardari

ISTANBUL: Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, who is in Istanbul to attend regional conference on Afghanistan, called on President Asif Ali Zardari here on Wednesday.

The Iranian Foreign Minister conveyed a message of good wishes from Iranian President Mahmood Ahmadinejad.

During the meeting, the President Asif Ali Zardari and the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed their resolve to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in diverse fields.

The trilateral summit held here in Istanbul between Pakistan, Turkey and Afghanistan and Istanbul Regional Conference were also discussed during the meeting.
