BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,858.29 with an upward movement of 5.25 points or 0.28 percent. The volume of this sector was 43,339,300. BR Cement Index was the most active sector. It closed with a turnover of 92,271,700. It saw a rise of 11.25 points or 0.58 percent, closing at 1,959.86.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 6,204.83 with a net negative change of -3.72 points or percentage change of -0.06. The turnover for this sector was 79,498,200.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,532.79 with a rise of 4.19 points or 0.27 percent. The turnover for this sector was 4,627,500, which was again the lowest among BRIndices. BR Oil and Gas Index closed with a turnover of 13,571,800. It closed at 2,195.55 with a net negative change of -1.8 points and percentage change of -0.08.
