West Indies are desperately looking to end the losing streak, as they will face Pakistan in the second Twenty 20 (T20) at Queen's Park Oval today (Thursday).

The host have lost their last six one-day internationals - including a 3-0 series drubbing by England earlier this month.

The situation remains similar at the T20 front, after the Windies lost their last four T20s, all against Pakistan.

Following a 3-0 defeat to them in UAE last September, the reigning T20 Champions fell to a six-wicket defeat in Sunday's first T20 of their four-match series against the green-shirts.

Shadab Khan, the 18-year-old debutant leg-spinner, took 3 wickets for 7 runs as West Indies were kept to 111 for 8 in Barbados, a total Pakistan chased down with 17 balls to spare.

West Indies fast bowler Jason Holder has put the team's troubles down to the unfamiliarity factor of facing players like Shadab and has called on his side to counter the new faces they are up against.

"We need to just sit down and work out our plans against all their bowlers," Holder told Sky Sports. "Obviously we are coming up against some guys who we have never played. In this situation, we need to find how best to play them given the conditions that we have.

The T20Is precede a three-match ODI series in Guyana, the next stage in West Indies' bid to claim an automatic qualifying spot for the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England.

The two-time World Cup winners continue to languish at the ninth spot in the rankings on 84 points, five behind Pakistan, who will want to ensure they maintain that eighth spot and more so to improve it in order to advance directly to the World Cup 2019.
