President Jammu Kashmir Peoples Party (JKPP) Sardar Khalid Ibrahim has asked the AJK government to refrain from hindering Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry's Kashmir visit.
"Any negative step would cause problems for the government as no Kashmiri would tolerate pressure in this regard, Sardar Khalid said while addressing a press conference here on Saturday.
He said that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will address Rawlakot Bar on June 30th and all political parties of AJK would give him historical reception.
He expressed the hope that this historical visit of CJP would help bring democratic forces of AJK closer. He rejected the AJK government budget saying that in the wake of reconstruction of the earthquake victims a revolutionary budget is expected. "We were expecting a budget which would not only take strong measures for rehabilitation and reconstruction of earthquake victims but give sufficient compensation to Mangla victims and take measures to strengthen liberation movement of Kashmir", he added.
To a question regarding the AJK Chief Justice Riaz Akhtar, Khalid Ibrahim said that the movement would continue in this connection and it is better that AJK Government itself should take necessary action.
He expressed the hope that people from all walks of life would take part in the reception of the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on his arrival to Rawlakot.
