Spokesperson Karachi Electric Supply corporation (KESC) Syed Sultan Hassan on Thursday said resources have been sorted out to overcome the problem of shortage of electricity.
Relief is being provided by the government to import power generator. Talking to PTV, he said resources, planning and then implementation are vital for resolution of electricity crisis.
He said the foundation stone of KESC 220mw power plant would be laid soon. The power plant is being set up at Korangi, he added. He said that service-providing facilities of electricity would be enhanced, "Our network is 50,000 kms long and has 52 grid stations and 12 new grid stations are also being established.
He said the Bin Qasim power station has 6 units, one unit has been repaired and the production level of this unit has increased to 190 megawatt.
He expressed that it is difficult to presume the technical faults when there is maximum electricity consumption. Vice President Consumer Foundation Raza Ali said the short term solution and long term planning both are required to solve the problem. The household are important source for industry, so household will not be allowed to suffer.
