ISLAMABAD: Analyst Brig (Retd.) Mahmood Shah has said that talks are the only way to resolve the Afghan issue and fight is not workable policy.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he supported the Istanbul summit and said that Istanbul is a neutral venue and Turkish leadership is playing its role effectively in resolving the Afghan issue, besides addressing differences among the participatory countries.
Shah also stressed on talks among different ethnic groups of the Afghanistan before any regional dialogue.
He said that Pakistan wants peace and prosperity in Afghanistan and always stressed on the US to resolve the Afghan issue through talks instead of use of power which could not deliver desired results in ten years.
