BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 6,299.06 with a net positive change of 147.71 points and percentage change of 2.40. The turnover for this sector was 124,970,600 shares. BR Tech & Comm Index was the second most active sector and closed at 1,847.12 with an upward movement of 10.33 points or 0.56 percent. The volume of this sector was 45,772,300 shares.
BR Cement Index was the third most active sector. It closed with a turnover of 38,335,900 shares. It saw a gain of 1.26 points or 0.07 percent, closing at 1,862.19.
BR Oil and Gas Index closed with a turnover of 18,329,800 shares. It closed at 2,230.84 with a net positive change of 0.04 points and percentage change of 0.00. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,551.93 with a fall of -5.38 points or -0.35 percent. The turnover for this sector was 16,751,000 shares, which was again the lowest among BR Indices.
