Muslim women in Hijab express solidarity with London attack victims

Hijab-wearing Muslim women had gathered at Westminster Bridge to express solidarity with the victims of London terror attack that claimed five lives last week.

According to a report on BBC News, the event was organized by the Women’s March on London. Participants lined up on Westminster Bridge, linking arms to form a human chain. As big Ben struck 4 pm, five minutes of silence was observed to show respect for the victims and their families.

Women from several different backgrounds, not just Muslims, took part in Westminster Bridge memorial march.

Five people, including a police officer and the attacker, were killed in the incident for which the Islamic State, also known by its Arabic acronym Daesh, later accepted responsibility.

London police identified a 52-years-old Khalid Masood as the man who killed four people in Westminster on Wednesday, but issued a fresh plea for any information that might explain why he did it.
