Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) key leader and Member National Assembly Hafiz Hussain Ahmed on Saturday ended his five day long protest after efforts of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and Secretary and a meeting with Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz.
PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Secretary General Mushahid Hussain had approached Hafiz Hussain and assured him resolution of problems facing the people in his constituency. Both the leaders discussed with Hafiz Hussain Ahmed the demands of the people in his area and arranged his meeting with the Prime Minister.
"Mushahid and Chaudhry Shujaat had come to me and I briefed them on the issues of minerals and gas royalty and the other matters regarding development in my constituency," Hafiz Hussain told media after meeting with the Prime Minister. "I was assured consideration of these problems and their earlier resolution," he added.
Number of local leaders and Nazims from different areas in his constituency comprising Mastung, Chagai, Dalbandin also accompanied Hafiz Hussain Ahmed during the meeting with the Prime Minister. Regarding his demands, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said, he had demanded gas supply to Noshki, electricity for Dalbandin and gas supply for some of areas around Quetta.
